We all loved Heron House. First: its location was terrific, at the far northern end of Sea Ranch near Gualala. We could get to town so readily. We walked everywhere with fabulous views and changing scenery in each direction. North, we could access the beach at the Gualala River mouth and walk to town. South we meandered for miles over the bluff trail in and through beautiful trees and postcard views around every bend of the trail.

The house itself was gorgeously appointed. It was decorated gracefully with a modern elegant convenience and comfort designed in everywhere. The kitchen was fabulous and our girls' getaway crew relished it (wish I had such a huge and well-designed kitchen in my home!). Everything was on hand and high-end appliances meant you could run the dishwater without hearing it: really nice bonus is a serene vacation home! Heron House has a cool layout with 2 bedrooms below and a huge open floor plan kitchen/living room/dining area facing with west-facing views.

It's a beautiful property and its my new first choice for where to stay at Sea Ranch. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back, just to linger in that house with those luxurious amenities. We'll definitely want to come back for our next girls' getaway! Dogs are welcome, too, which is a nice plus although the place was so spic and span you'd never think there had never been a dog in it!

We ladies loved this spot but so would families and couples who want their friends to share a vacay house.

There's various views from different parts of the house. I loved watching sunsets from the living room. One night, we all went out on one of the bedroom decks to have hot cocoa and marvel at the stars one can see in remote Sea ranch! WOW! As an urban person, I always forget how many stars one can see on the Sonoma coast!

Sea Ranch getaways always thrill me and relax me, too! We cooked in most of the time, as we were really loving that kitchen! Huge amount of countertop space and we could all gather around and be sociable WHILE cooking, which was such a nice feature for families or groups of friends using the house.

Deldi could not have been more helpful in helping ensure we had everything we need and making suggestions before our arrive, too, so we'd have the best trip possible. All the staples were on hand as promised. She was a pleasure to deal with.
